Since founding her own practice in 2004, Julia Clarke Solicitor has grown into a well-respected Maitland practice, formally incorporating one of the Hunter Valley’s oldest legal firms, O’Brien & O’Brien, in 2019.
Away from the courtroom, Julia is deeply rooted in family life and has three sons.
Julia’s story also includes an athletic chapter: she represented Australia in trampolining, competing at the Pan Pacific Games in New Zealand and at the World Championships in Paris—an experience reflecting both her dedication and competitive spirit.
In her downtime, Julia finds joy cultivating her garden and cherishing time with her pets, balancing her professional achievements with a love of home and quiet moments in nature.

Jenny Guy
Office Manager
In 2018, Jenny joined our team. From day one, she became a central figure—mentoring newer team members, elevating service levels, and blending seamlessly into our trusted customer-first approach.
Jenny is also locally recognized as a joint owner of Guy’s Karate School, based in Rutherford. Alongside her husband, Shihan Lindsay Guy, she contributes to the growth and success of this respected local martial arts centre in the Hunter region.

Kelly Bevan
Reception / Legal Support Specialist
Kelly is a highly experienced legal professional who has been an integral part of Legal Aid Newcastle for over 15 years. Her career also includes valuable time working across various areas of law in the United Kingdom, giving her a broad and adaptable legal background.
While she specialises in supporting solicitors in the area of criminal law, Kelly also has a strong interest in family law and estates. Her keen understanding of these areas enhances the depth of support she provides to both colleagues and clients.
Kelly is the welcoming face of our office and often the first point of contact for those seeking assistance. Known for her bubbly personality and approachable manner, she plays a key role in creating a supportive and friendly environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her partner and their two beloved Chihuahuas. Whether it’s relaxing at home or exploring the outdoors, her downtime is all about enjoying the simple pleasures in life with her little family.
